Survey Reveals That Only One Third of Irish Enterprises Have Implemented Unified Communications

DataSolutions have announced the results of a survey, carried out on behalf of ShoreTel, that revealed only 36% of organisations in Ireland have implemented unified communications (UC).  The ShoreTel survey was carried out in April 2011, with 300 IT decision makers in Ireland. BYOD to the workplace of the future

Ireland is no longer a one-device society relying on a PC or laptop for all tasks, a recent Citrix survey revealed. In fact, 46pc of workers reported using three or more devices on a daily basis. Irish workers are becoming increasingly 'tech savvy' and 80pc of those who use personal devices for work purposes claim they are "do it yourselfers". Ryanair and Maxima enter contract for improved web booking

Dublin, 2 February 2011 - Ryanair has chosen IT business systems company Maxima to support its web booking application by implementing Citrix’s latest web acceleration technology. Maxima, a Citrix Solution Adviser, will implement seven NetScaler MPX 9500 hardware appliances to enhance server load balancing, improve web traffic management, increase security levels and lower Ryanair’s online operating costs.
